Hi there,

as many of you I also had some problems with the docking station from my TSU7000. A while ago the fuse blew and since I had no proper replacement I just soldered a thin wire across.

Unfortunately the rating of the wire was higher than 750mA :-) and now I got a blown / burnt transistor all I can read from is 1st row: PH... and 2nd row: BC...

Could anyone help me out with the correct type of part 7002?

Thanks!
Frank

why waste the time. Ebay search for TSU3000 yields many DS3000 units, some in Canada. Some for $29.95USD. Boards will be identical.

Thanks a lot Gord, that really helped!

Lyndel, I should have edited my Signature... I moved back to Europe two years ago but I am still so proud I had the opportunity to live in Canada 4 4 years so I'll better leave it as is :-)
I do miss Canada big time (still have PR status)!

However: those docking stations and remotes are not that common over here... and as far as I know the boards are slightly different: I've read somewhere that the DS3000 does not show charging status (LED) with docked TSU7000, correct?

Best regards and thanks again Gord!

The boards may be slightly different. Can't recall. I'd be willing to get would be a good source for salvage parts if you have the SMD desoldering equipment.
