Hi,

Thinking of purchasing new 650R and BD player when they are out, but thought I would check in advance if I anyone had discrete on/off codes for the prior models?

Thanks

Not to worry....found it myself

The latest Azur unit remotes utilise discrete on/off commands for multi room and custom install use. This means that the commands for on and off are on different frequencies, and will need to be learnt to seperate buttons on a learning remote control. To do this, press and hold down the power button on the remote control. After 12 seconds it will send the on command, and after another 12 seconds, it will send the off command.
When sending a signal from the remote directly to the device, this button will function as normal, and only needs to be pressed once to turn the unit either on or off.

For anyone else looking for Cambridge Audio IR Codes. Most can be found on their Support Site.

Just select your Product.

No codes for Cambridge Audio Azur 650BD Blu-ray player at the moment. It's remote has some dual function buttons that are difficult to learn (I have ProntoPro TSU990). I have managed to teach the remote only one of the functions mostly and for one button none.

In Azur's remote you push the button shortly (function 1) or push and hold for more than approx. 1 second (function 2).

For example:

Angle/Zoom button:

Angle (=function1)
0000 0074 003D 0003 0141 009F 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 2283 0141 009F 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003C

Zoom (function 2, push and hold)
0000 0074 0022 0000 0141 009F 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 003B 0015 0015 0015 003B 0015 009F

Those two functions work but only if I teach them into two separate buttons in Pronto.

Can anybody help. Jasonvp?

Sorry but those codes do not function. Codes that start 0000 0074 ... are functioning.

The Codes in Post 7 were a guess from the Code in your Post 6. I could not get a correct read from it.

Have you tried the Codes from Post 5?

If any of those from Post 5 work, I can send you a PCF File with all 256 Hex Codes for you to try.

What Pronto Model do you have?

From a post #4 above, the TSU990 (which is actually RU990 - UK model).

Note that poster is not original author, but someone else asking questions about remote. I just noticed that as well.

I got information from Cambridge Audio support that remote codes for 650BD are now on their Support Site. NEC code is 49 B6.
[Link: cambridgeaudio.com]

Problem is that I can't figure out how to make hex codes out of them.

You can just use this,
www.monmailbox.com/~raph//irhex_converter.html

E.G.
NEC CODE: 49 B6
STANDBY 04

You enter 49B6 04 or 49 04 (both will give you the same Hex Code) and press Generate.

0000 006D 0022 0002 0155 00AA 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 05ED 0155 0055 0015 0E47

This will generate the codes at 38KHz which is generally the Frequency for NEC Protocol but yours are learning at 36KHz and seeing that you have not answered my questions from previous Posts I can`t tell you if they will work!

Cheers

Thanks a lot. I will try that. I have only 3 functions that don't work. I will try to generate them.

I did it. The codes function perfectly now. I generated all the commands because they are short and clean. Everything works now perfectly.

Thanks a lot Jasonvp !

Jason,

Do you have the full "ON" and "OFF" codes for the 650R and 650 BD?

I have done the hold for 12 seconds thing with the on/off buttons and can get "on" to work on BD650 (but not off) and only get "on" to work on 650R

Thanks in advance

Azur 650R IR Remote Control Codes
These are RC5 Codes. You can enter them directly into Pronto or Matantz Software in the Button Properties - IR Code - Custom IR Code - RC 5/6/MM - RC5.

e.g. POWER_ON 100
System = 16
Command = 100

Azur 650BD IR Remote Control Codes

See Post 12 on how to generate the Hex Codes for the 650BD
