Hello experts,

I still have problems with my RU960. Especially the devices sometimes wont react within a macro. Single buttons for power on work fine, but same linked code in a macro is still kind of gambling.
I followed the hint I received in this forum to play with the signal lenght. Unfortunatly this does not have any effect. What I found is that depending on the angle I hold the remote and the position in the room, macros are working / or not.
But from my couch (12 ft away / direct visible connection to the IR eyes of the devices / all devices in the same rack) it is a pain to use the macros.

For that reason I had the idea to send the ON and OFF signal twice to the divice.
Curious is that this method is working. Unfortunatly the ON and OFF button for my TV is a toggle code. I used the codeset for Thomson TV that is inside PENG, but even this Power On code is a toggle code.

Initially I learned the codes from the oe remote. Now I am hoping that the code experts in this forum can help me finding working discrete codes.

I read all the threads on discrete codes and how to work with MakeHex etc. But I do not know which irp to use for the Thomson TV.

To me these hex codes look very similar and I can not see in which group of numbers the 256 options are hidden. Is there any logic behind?

I think signal duration was a good idea. Maybe you didn't do the right thing to adjust that.


I think they don't exist.


I don't recall exactly how to read that format of Pronto Hex. I think you want the Thomson.irp file, with device=12, but I'm not 100% sure.

My decodeCCF program hasn't forgotten those details that I've forgotten, so if you have that Pronto Hex in a CCF file you can decode it with DecodeCCF

There are only 64 possible commands in this system, not 256. Notice the part I changed to red. Those six values are each either 0003 or 0004. The 64 possible combinations of six values, each of which is 0003 or 0004 form the 64 possible signals the device can understand. The rest of the Pronto Hex string should be the same in all commands.
