There's a Sony DVD Changer CCF that I have listed in the Classic Pronto files section (search for downloads by me). If you also download SuperNudelist, there is a Hooks.ccf I provide that has the sequences for using Sony Changers.

The only thing you will need to know is whether you have Layer/Bitrate active. Based on the answer to this question, you will select one of 2 'After Disc' IR code sequences.

I don't recommend putting music CDs in one of these units as there's no Discrete IR code for Disc Selection and track selection is less than acceptable (lack of discrete track IR code like on the older CD changers) for the Sony DVD changers.

Thank you for the input

I will be receiving my DVP-CX850D today, so i am not familiar with it as of yet. I plan on using it ONLY for DVD's. I want to make a jukebox with it. However I have no clue what I am doing, and have been reading info on this forum for months now trying to learn.
I will also be getting a 300 disc; it is on the way as well. (My budget would not allow for a newer 400 disc – both the 200 and 300 cost me less than $300 including shipping to Alaska, so I hope they will work for me) I hope it will be easy to configure each of these separately, so I can just select the movie and the lights will dim, and the movie will play. That is my plan at least.

What do you mean "Layer/Bitrate active" I have no clue what this is? Thanks for the help.

ANY AND ALL ADVICE TO MAKE MY JOB EASIER, IS GREATLY APPRICIATED, as I am configuring 500 DVD's to work when their DVD picture is selected- I HOPE :))

When you get the 850 and follow manual keypresses of the actions in the Macros I suggested, it will become obvious what Layer/Bitrate are. These 2 items are an option on the 850D that will show current position on the disc or bitrate of current data. Having these on cause you to have to press the 'Display' key one extra time to get the information to be dismissed.
