Apologies for what I am sure has been answered elsewhere, but my searches were unfruitful.
What's the difference between the 7000 and the 7500?
According to Philips' website, only the 7500 is available, so I assume it's the only current model with this form-factor). (I read elsewhere that the 7500 is now discontinued and scheduled to be replaced later in the year).
I'm thinking of bidding on a "barely used" 7000 on eBay. Just curious how "obsolete" the 7000 is.
thanks.

The 7500 has more memory than the 7000. You shouldn't need the additional memory unless your configuration file is such that you store LOTS of graphics, such as DVD covers. Most people's configuration fits in their 7000. The 7500's firm buttons are easier to distinguish by feel. Other than that, they are the same.
