I have seen the posts many times.

It happened to me last night... the kids dropped a decorative rock right on my TSU7000 screen and shattered the glass.

Any opinions on the best or most effective approach to dealing with it?

Do that way and you will have your new touch screen broken very very soon! Again search and Read! Replacment part have a bigger size. Itīs not just to put the new one there. Some guys who did it got broken touchscreens a week after replacment.

Filezz check your plastic frame around the screen. I bet itīs bended.

On mine not bent at all.

It was not a snug fit on mine by any means.

Acually a little play in there.

I think mine is fine. Maybe thats a differance in the 7000 vs 7500

Check the distance between the glasstop and the frame, you have to see a constant distance, less then 1mm. Itīs never a snug fit, thatīs why people think that is all right and then the touchscreen crack in the edges.

Problably you did not had any trouble because you changed the hole screen. In the touchscreen replacment only the problem aways hapen. And is hard to make the adjustments.

Also, I just think you should be careful on telling people itīs a simple thing to do. Itīs not. Every one I worked I had to work to make the new touchscreen to fit.
