Working flawlessly for over a year, unit suddenly failed to respond to the touch screen. I was able to shift over to a sister screen where it responded normally then suddenly went black. Put it on charger. where it stays 80% of the time, and the screen instantly came on very dim. There was no response from any buttons, just a dim screen. The following morning the unit had not performed its timers but was now on the home screen and responded to innitial input normally, executing the functions' Then quickly black again, and nothing since.
I have tried to link it back to pc without even a peep comming from the unit or recognition on the pc other than the beep when the usb plug goes in. I think from the few peeks I have had early on, the programing is hopefully intact, maybe this is just a power thing? Any help appreciated
Thanks,
Hal

Update: unit now beeps and has backlighting with hard keys ,screen black as night but several functions still work if you can guess where they are and what screen you are on. Holy s..t!, guess this thing is toast! A referb that is long since out of warranty, worth sending for fix?

Then consider dowloading and installing the firmware that was released today.
