I have one of these, its a REMOTE EXTENDER RE 200, made by Windmaster Manufacturing...

The company web site is http://www.remoteextender.com
however this product is no longer listed. Anyway, I've been using it on my cable box remote from the cable company - but I got a Pronto Pro 3000 for my bedroom and a pronto pro 7000 for my living room... I would like to be able to use it as an rf extender from my bedroom with my 3000 if possible.... to specifically control my Motorola 6412 cable box. Can I program in the RF codes or control it using a NG3000 or 7000?

For those who do not know, you clip the piece on the left onto an existing remote (like the one from the cable company)

and it transmits that signal RF to the base on the right in the other room.. and also passes thru the IR. It works pretty well actually... but now I'd like to use my Pronto too if possible :)

Thanks

Hello Tommy.
I just picked up a Windmaster Remote Ranger RE200 at Goodwill, curious to find out more about it. Only the bright side, I risked only $1.50...
on the other hand, I had no idea there was a transmitter missing (the one that attaches to host remote.)
a) I also need the transformer specs to power it (not on the casing)
b) Can I get the other half anywhere... reasonably speaking, of course.

Windmaster must have tanked because I get nothing on my searches for info.
Any ideas?
Ps Thanks in advance for your help.

I suspect that you are out of luck but we'll see.

Hi Lyndel,
I suspect you're right. Though economic times are tough, I'll probably survive the $1.99 loss. I can always use the transmitter base as a miniature flag pole,
or maybe a low voltage lightning rod... lodge pole for a tee pee belonging to a lost tribe of technically disadvantage nomadic people... divining rod for curious but extremely cheap people...?
Then again, I'll probably cut the cord off it for my "male end cord collection" and use the antenna as pointer. If you're interested in a "mint condition" standalone Windmaster Remote Ranger RE 200 transmitter base at a deep discount, let me know soon, inasmuch as supplies are limited and on a first come, first serve basis.*
*did I mention that this particular item was the actual device used by OJ and Michael Jackson as a "single glove" digital dehydration facilitator (SGDDF mach 1.0) and that it contains rare metals (reputedly taken from the Lost Arc), Jeweled movement (carried by an actual grocery shopper through Jewel/Osco in Biblical times), and in the production of which, no animals were injured?
Opening bid: $2.00.
Shipping, handling fees, insurance, and CEO Bonus incentives: $150.00
Do it today and avoid the Christmas rush!
(This offer void where prohibited by common sense.)
Thanks for your efforts, Lyndel.
Sincerely,
Honest Josh's Rare Collectibles, Ltd

Josh,
I have an extender like yours but have lost the transformer so need the operating voltage and amperage. Have you had any luck getting this information? Thanks!

Josh and Donn -
The transformer is a 12V, 100mA unit, positive center contact.
