I am hoping that someone can help me. I have a cable box from teh Pace company. Some of the buttons on the remote simply cannot be learned by my Pronto Pro. Yet I see on the board that there are CCF files that others have managed to sucessfully learn. Why is the Pronto Pro so sensitive when it comes to learning remote codes and is there any tricks. I have tried doing it in a dark closet etc but it simply will not learn the codes.

It is now time, early in your posting career here at remotecentral, to try the search engines. I have seen this subject addressed several times over the last couple of years, and I am sure you can find your answer right now if you go looking for it.

Answers that relate directly to the Pronto OG (older generation) might be hard to apply if you have not yet learned, as most of us painfully have, how to go from thinking and using the OG remotes and software to the NG remotes and software, but I am sure you will find something that will help.

By the way, don't search for OG. I think I am the only one who uses that term. In light of gangster rap, I think "the Pronto OG" is funny. But, as my wife says, it don't take much.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
