I would like to have a digital photo of one of my remote controls as the panel, but have the buttons perform functions. I was hoping to be able to do this by placing real buttons behind where ever i want the function to happen, but make it invisible. There for i will seem as if the panel buttons are the actual buttons. Any opinions?

The way I would do it is use a program like Paint Shop Pro and use the crop feature to make actual buttons from the digital photo that you have. Then put the whole digital photo in your page as a panel and then put the buttons you made by cropping in Paint Shop on top of the Photo panel. These buttons will overlay the Photo and it will look like one big picture but you will be able to press the buttons you made. If you would like more details on how to do it drop me an email.

I have something like that in my PCF where I used a picture of the Dish guide and made buttons and overlaid them on the picture.

1) add the photo as a frame
2) create a bitmap of one color
3) load the bitmap into a button and make that color transparent

Anthony,
A quick question, since I don't have a 3000 remote yet. In Peng a transparent color does not have a clickable area, only areas the have a visable shade will activate the buttons commands. If a button is all transparent will you still be to active it by pressing on it?

Dave, I don't have a 3000, and I have not played much with PENG. I thought all transparent did was use the background color, but I guess it does more :-)
