Yeah, I know.
Sounds like a silly question, right?

Their website says: "The bright true blue backlight that lights up both the LCD and all hard buttons will ensure perfect operability in the dark."
(From: [Link: pronto.philips.com])

However, the picture looks like it has a green screen.

So, while at CES I took a look at it. Yes, I touched it, held it, cradled it. :)
I would definately describe the screen as green.

Does anyone know if the screen is going to come out truly blue (like my Nokia 8890 cellphone.) or if they're just going to use their marketing department to convince us that their version of green is now officially called blue.

Hmm, comments anyone?

I can't answer that question, other than to say that it looks greenish to me in the photos as well. I'm not sure that the colour of the backlight matters to me all that much, but no, it doesn't look blue.

*However*, since you've held it, can I throw some questions at you?

1) How does it feel to hold? What is weight like? What about the balance?

2) Is it possible to use the hard buttons at the bottom without holding using both hands? In other words, can you hold it in one hand and operate the button with the thumb?

It's bluer than previous Pronto units, but isn't as blue as some other remotes I saw at CES.

Would you say it's as blue as the Neo?

...and how readble was the screen vs. the Pronto? Any other impressions would be welcomed, as we all live vicariously through your experience.

To hold it was fairly light.
Possibly lighter than my old RC5200. But that's subjective and I had been carrying a 6lb camera around the show all day. (No, I didn't take a picture - I was too tired by then.)

I think you *could* press the hard buttons below the screen with one hand; but two hands would be easier. Mainly because this would involve swinging your hand around to the bottom of the unit instead of the middle.

It's a shame the screen really isn't bluer. All the "really blue" screens I have seen (like my Nokia 8890 phone) put out about twice as much light as green. I think this is because they are really putting out blue AND green, giving more of a CYAN color. Make sense?
