Im trying to get my pronto 3000 to automatically startup at the 'Home' page, but it always starts on the device list page. Can this be changed?

How can you create a 'Jump' link to the device list page? The default device list page dosnt show up when you create a 'Jump'.

Thanks in advance,
Lloyd

My startup page is linked from the the "Device Overview Template" located in the system properties. Normally this template has 12 buttons on it. Each of these buttons list one of your devices from the tree layout on the left side of PENG. The buttons are named what ever the device is named automatically They will listed in the order that they are in the tree. I removed all the buttons except for one in the Device Overview Template and added the graphics to the page. Now when Pronto "Boots" your are only given one button to select from which is my "Begin" (the first device in my tree). The links for this button are automatically made by PENG. So now when you click on it, it takes you to my begin page. The page that has the "begin" button on it only comes up when the Pronto is rebooted and contains links to my real home page which is located in the Home section of the tree listing.

I don't use the "Home" hard button to get to the home page. I will use this button as part of the quide system in Dish Network. I have created a "Home Icon" on my pages that take you to the Home page. The way my PCF is laid out you can get to everything by pressing one of the buttons at the top of each page. The only time you actually need my Home page is to get to the Device that holds all the IR codes.

If you would like to see how my PCF is laid out send me an email and I will forward you a copy.

David -

This will solve my problem, but how do you create a link or a jump from the 'device overview page' to my main 'home' page?

regards,
Lloyd

The link from the "Device Overview Template" is made by PENG automatically. It links to the first device in the tree (listing of devices on the left side of PENG). I call this device "Begin" and it looks just like my actual "Home" page. All of its buttons are just links to the "Home" page buttons. The only time this "Begin" device will be seen is when the Pronto reboots (downloading or changing batteries). Now whenever you use the Home button it will take you to your actual "Home" page.

Indeed the device screen does not get in your way, except after a reboot. I still use a home page concept and have linked the bottom right hard button to home in just about every device. I still do see a need to jump to the device screen, whenever I need to go to a specific device to do something special or debug. BTW - My .pcf is "activity based", so it is not easy for me to jump to a specifc device without going to the Device Overview screen.
