Hi all,
Has anyone found the benefit of marking a device as a "Template" in PENG? If it does something special, I am not gertting it. I see that it makes a change in the tree view, by adding a special icon, but that is all I am seeing. Any ideas?
Regards...Dave

May just have answered my own question. Devices marked as templates do not show up in the Device overview screen. Anyone notice any other benfits to marking a device as a template?

I don't have a 3000, but from the days of the 1000 you could mark a device as a template. on the original Pronto if you marked a device as a template, it meant that the device did not show up in use mode, and was there so that you could latter add the device using the remote (i.e. all the devices in the default CCF were templates). It also used to kill any actions in the buttons on those screens

Device Template is used to create our own device in the remote control. Goto Tools -> Add -> Create New Device, we can see the list of devices which we have specified as template's. You can select one of them and create a copy of it.
