This morning I noticed my PC super slow. There were no apps running at that time and in the process window ProntoEdit NG.exe was sucking 99% of the CPU and it wasn't even running...
Why do you think this can happen? I use winxp HomeEdition on a 1.5 Ghz PC with 512 ram.

Well, if it was using CPU time, it was definitely running. It sounds like the app got "disconnected" - you closed the window but the app stayed running in the background.

Why? Almost certainly a bug in PENG.

I noticed the same problem some time ago. In my case I traced it to the emulator. If I left it open, then came back some time later, I had the same problem you're experiencing. Since then I got into the habit of quiting the emulator after using it, and haven't had the problem recur.
