Daniel:

The only way it seems to "hide" template screens
is to delete all the buttons on the template.
Once deleted, the next template can then show
through as the next "page" for a device.

Am I correct? I was hopefull that I could just
re-arrange template pages in the order I wanted.

Right - you can delete unused templates but you can't move them. While I agree it would be nice to reorganize them, Philips didn't build this in to the base unit. From what I understand, via the serial port interface you will be able to completely design whole templates, with button size, placement, order etc. The problem is there's no plans yet to implement this...

WOW!

I ~really~ hope they implement the serial port then! I would love to be able to design my own templates on the PC and download them to the unit!

If you have the ability to pass on comments to the folks at Philips - PLEASE DO!

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, and also tell them we don't want to have to use Win 98 or NT to design our templates... Either make the software to run on Win 3.1 and up, or give details on how to make your own templates and upload them using any operating system, if you are a proficient programmer. :)

He doesn't have to - the more savvy folks at Philips are reading the forum... :-)

Are there any proficient programmers out there that don't at least have access to a Win32-based system?

-- from a pretty darn proficient programmer, surrounded by Macintoshes (ex-Apple sw engr), but still has a PC lying around...
