Unfortunately, we have a full time job to hold down... that is, if you'd like us to continue to develop cool new things...

If you've specific questions, I'm sure they'll be answered, but life's too short to try to type everything one knows into little-bitsy text fields. Especially if our competitors are reading this, too :-)

Actually, what I really want to know is how long we have to wait for the programming interface to the computer.

Then I want to know if I have to use Win 95, 98, or NT to program it, because I have vowed not to use those OS's... I can handle Win 3.1 though. :)

And lastly, what exactly can be changed with this? Will we be able to change the template graphic, button location/size, and how the buttons are linked (such as making any button a macro if need be, and making template order in any order we choose)

Oh yes, one last question... Can this information be downloaded from the remote to a PC, so that if, for some reason, the remote loses the memory or you overwrite the original template layout, you can always restore it from the PC?

Thanks for all the info you're providing us!

I would echo Scott's interest in the interface. I think from a competitive view it has to be sonner rather than later, after all with the HK, the interface comes in the box.

Are we likely to see it soon, and exactly what will it allow us to do?

I also thought of another question today... When the Pronto is in its docking station, connected to wall power, is there a provision for it to stay on all the time? At least the LCD screen, not necessarily the backlight. I think it might be a bit tedious having to touch the screen to turn it on and THEN hitting a button when battery efficiency wouldn't be an issue...

Oh yes... almost forgot... For those of you who have developed the Pronto, can you tell me if it would be possible for a consumer who was well versed in programming to make a template and a "function" to upload to the Pronto in which the template would be a "virtual" jog/shuttle dial, and the "function" would control the dial by dragging your finger in a circle on the dial, just like it was a real jog/shuttle wheel? Or is the way the RS-232 interface set up, this amount of programmability isn't allowed?
