I have heard directly from someone high up in NTL that RC5 support may be worse in the latest software release (I don't know if this release has been deployed), and there is a distinct possibility that it could disappear altogether rather than be fixed.

looks like i got my red eye just in time then!! i suppose if ntl do away with the rc5 support it will do wonders for the sales of your red eye product!! ;)

Does the red eye work with the DI4000-N then?, also, does this give back the 'info' button function?

Yes, Red-Eye works with the 4000, and gives you an info button. More info at www.redremote.co.uk.

Just to let you all know that the more recent software that telewest have uploaded (not sure version, but its dark blue as opposed to light blue) has absolutely no buffering problems as like the previous software had, So what i did (makes responses faster), Is the ccf's i downloaded to use had 2 codes sent per command (a dummy code as well as the real code), This dummy isnt required now, Ive tested it extensively and it also means that my remote xtender pyramids now work better with the learning remotes in other rooms, I cant still however find any "i" button. Anyone care to search?? Also as a benefit using the original "irda" remote then going back to the pronto doesnt send the box nuts anymore, So in all an improvement but not yet perfect

I have had the same results with by Telewest digital cable and Pronto RU940. The buffering problem has completely disappeared, and now either remote can be used without having to power down the stb. I haven't investigated the i button yet, but I will report any progress I make.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having got my partial set of SA4000 codes together, I managed to live without the green button, the "tv" button and the big blue "telewest" button. Come home today to find they've changed their menu's. Guess which buttons are needed.....

AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!! If anyone has codes for these buttons, please please please upload them!!!

PS - I'll upload my partial set now....

Red eye question

after having a few buffering problems i discovered i had missed off a couple of codes when i re-edited my pronto, (oop's sorted now) but while editing i noticed that under the advanced button tab, then the define rc5/rc6 mode, the rc5 is selected, shouldn't the rc6 mode0 or rc6 mode6A be selected?
Thanks

Did you ever get a code for the TV button?

I could manage without the rest?

Cheers

02/01/04 I've just acquired a Pronto RU940 and with the help of downloads I've managed to get it to work with my ntl pace box. Most of the codes I downloaded were RC6 but it's the RC5 ones that work with my ntl box. The only button I can't find the code for is the i (info) button which is deeply frustrating. I've tried the codes from Peter Ward's excellent ccf file containing all ntl RC5 codes but still no joy. Can anyone help?

you will need the redeye product (http://www.redremote.co.uk/) to get this button to work. you may find that you start to get the buffering problem if your using rc5/6 codes with the pace stb and don't have the redeye.

Afraid not - if anyone finds it, PLEEAAASSSEEE upload it!! I'm sick of cable. Gonna change to SKY when I move house in a few months, and sort the problem that way!
