Hi all,

I have brought my old remote out of retirement and to be honest I last programmed it with an XP operating system. I have tried to install the software on a windows 10, 64 bit with no luck. Can anyone help me with an operating system that will run the old software or is there another editing bit of software that the newer windows o/s can use? Have started to install xp back on an old machine but had forgotten how clunky it was and am at the point of giving up on that.

thanks,

James

Did you try to install TouchScreenSetup or did you try to install RC5000Edit?

You might also try Tonto (Java Based and will require 32 bit compatibility mode). However, I can no longer find a download link. You might look up user Stewart Allen as he was the author and send him an RC mail. Maybe he can give you a link.

The sources for Tonto are available here [Link: github.com]. But it may not be what a Windows user wants...

I have some of these old programs. I do not know the status of them nor have used them in a long time. I put them in a shareable folder on my Gdrive. If anyone wants them, here you go.

Let me know if they work for you.
