I've had problems with a ccf in a Marantz RC5200. At some point the remote forgets the program, resets, and comes up with the default Marantz file, which is of zero use to me. Worse, this is still going on at a client's home and it's been years now. Maybe if the remote reverted to MY file instead of the Marantz file???

How do you make the file that you put into the remote into the file that comes up when you "Revert"? I vaguely remember that there are some file size limitations but that's all that comes to mind.

Anyone?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

This thread located via a search for default ccf for remote.

Ernie, maybe my statement was incorrect about simulator not liking buttons with no labels. Maybe it is the other way around.

I read your other reply.

The other way around is... the simulator is okay without labels but the ccf in the remote is not okay that way?

I'm rewriting a bit from the thread you linked to in Post 2, just so I don't have to go there via the link any time I want this information:

If you want to change the factory "revert to" file, the ccf file you use must be smaller than 184kb. If it is it will become the revert to ccf. If it is larger, the original factory default file will remain the "revert to" file.

To change the "revert to" file, set Developer=1 in pronto.ini (this step is probably obsolete) and downloading the ccf to the remote with the box checked for "configuration is factory default."
