I am based in Singapore. Ideally would have wanted to buy urchin mx980 but not sure how to get the software. So instead considering a tsu9400/tsu9200 instead. But given it has been discontinued for a while now should I still be investing money it... Or else any recommendations for alternatives...

See my answer to your post in the Pro Forum. This is the Classic forum for prontos which have been discontinued since around 2003/2004.
