Hi,

I have two TSU2000's and I run into an odd problem. I program my RIGHT hard button as the 30 second skip button from my Tivo. I use the LEFT one as the "replay" button, that is a 5 second rewind function.

Most of the time, this works just great, but I have noticed that if the unit goes into screen sleep mode, then both of these buttons seem to de-activate, or at least work far less reliable.

Even with the screen sleeping, I get the beep when pushing the buttons, but it dose not activate the screen, and looks as if does not even send a code out at all until I wake the screen.

I can touch the screen to wake it up, and this restores function. But I dont seem to have any issues with MUTE, or VOL--even when the screen is sleeping.

Is this a firmware fixable issue?

If not firm ware, then I guess I could just program sleep mode to be activated have a longer delay perhaps?

It dose indeed still send out IR when sleeping, but I guess is that its not the correct code, because my tivo mostly wont recognize it unless the screen is awake. Very odd.

I would try re-learning the codes. They might be on the "edge" of usability.

also, might your battery be marginal? Have you replaced it?

It dose work a lot better with fresh battery. Its just odd that only the S30 hard button seems to go flaky, no other buttons at all seem to ever have a problem at all.

Maybe you should disassemble and clean components with mineral water.
