Hi all.

I bought a TSU6000 online last year and it would not allow me to upload a new ccf. I tried using hyper terminal, but it just seemed to display garbage. I also could not update the firmware as I kept getting the reset button error. Last month, I finally got it to start a firmware update by taking the battery out and putting it back in. However, it then failed the firmware update and now just beeps 4 times. Everytime I try to update the firmware I get the reset error.

I have connected it to hyperteminal, but I am getting the same garbage as last time. The hyperterminal output is below.

I am using a usb adapter, but it works fine with my old TSU1000. I have also dug up an old laptop and used the serial connection directly.

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions or even know what "rooving" means?

It would be a shame to just throw the remote out.
Thanks for any help.
