I've just dug out my old RU890 and would like to know if I could use with a marmitek TM13 or CM15pro.

I know it would work with the IRRF7243 but would like more functionality by using the CM15pro.

I've read things about using a program called codegen to create the codes but can't find a copy anywhere, but the main question is can I use the RU890 to send codes to a TM13 or CM15pro directly to control my X10 stuff?

The simple answer is "NO"

Those two modules require you to have an RF enabled European Pronto and the RU890 is not RF equipped (nor is the RU940)

Phillips RU950, RU960, RU970, RU980 or RU990 and Marantz RC5200, RC9200, RC5400 or RC9500 all are and will work with european X10RF directly. Newer Prontos & Marantz's used a different RF so are also not compatible. US models use a different RF frequency so are not compatible either!

As you say you could control TM13 & CM15Pro with the IRRF7243 but I'm not sure what benefit you would gain!

The more convoluted answer is "YES" but it involves fitting and RF sender unit see here It's quite an old post but if you can buy the parts and are any good at soldering you stand a chance!

The kit is no longer available from the site above so you will be on your own to find the parts.
