Hi all,
I've recently bought a RSU 970 at ebay in order to have color and to replace my RSU 940.
What is the most economic way to transfer the data to the new one.
Is it possible to just load the ccf of the 940 into the 970 as first step? I'm asking because I destroyed another 940 by loading a 970-CCF into it.
For some of my devices I just want to copy the remote commands and design a nice colored layout for them. So how can this be achieved.
The others could be left black and white in order to redesign them later. Are there any pitfalls I must have in mind?
Any hints welcome. Thanks in advance!
regards Markus

My 2p. Upload your 940 CCF from the remote to your computer. Save it. Next, open the recently uploaded CCF and save as a 970 file with different name. Then download to the 970. Simple as that. Make changes as you need to and enjoy.
The 940 likely had less memory than the 970 and going backwards might have caused you issues. Not sure about what you mean by destroyed as I've never seen a remote fail due to CCF being too large.
