I am using prontoedit 4.05 and trying to switch the current ccfs on my tsu6000 which are in black an white into color. After I select the colors and click ok nothing happens other than a red box around the button I am working on.
What am I doing wrong.

Unfortunately, there's no magic button to make this happen.

It would appear that the images embedded in your config file are black and white. In this case, you must use the save button from properties dialog to save the image to your hard drive. Edit the image with an image editor to colorize it (I recommend finding color images from other CCFs here instead if you are not familiar with image editing), save it, and the use properties dialog to 'Load' it back into the panel/button from which it came.

I am not that great when programming involves using the computer;so to confirm what you are saying means:
When I first took my pronto out of the box,the buttons that appeared with specific text on them that I changed to suit my needs and then wrote macros for them I can not simply switch them to color. I would have to create a new panel basically from scratch and select the style of buttons; the text I want to use and the button background color.
Thanks for your help.

Technically those buttons are what Philips considered "color". The TSU6000 has a very limited color palette that tended to work best with grey and blue. You can easily replace existing buttons with new images, as long as you've added them to the gallery or have another panel with those images.

It might pay to read through my review [Link: remotecentral.com] and the Pronto FAQ (linked at the bottom of this forum page).

Button background color does NOT apply if there is an image loaded into the button. To get a red button with white text, set the background color to red, foreground color to white, and remove any images (there can be 4 images per button).

Just read through your great review; your explanations are much more clear then some of those offered by prontoedit manual.
This helps a lot,thanks

Remember, there are handy keyboard shortcuts when you want to replace a lot of button appearances, so you can simply drag an image from one button to another. Look in Help under "List of Shortcuts" specifically ALT + drag & drop.
