Hi, I purchased a Pronto TS1000 remote to control a Denon AVR-5800 receiver/amp and I was able to find and load the CCF file onto the remote from this site, but when I attempt to use the remote the receiver is not responding. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Use a video camera to see if the remote is sending IR. You should see a flash in the camera if it is indeed sending.

If the camera shows you are sending IR, then it may be the Denon that is not receiving properly. Do you have the original remote for Denon and can you also confirm that it works as a next step?

I have tested the Philips remote and it does show that it is sending IR commands. I do not have the original Denon remote as I purchased the Philips as a cheaper replacement. Any other thoughts? Thanks again in advance.

Aside from trying a real Denon remote to verify that the IR receiver on the Denon unit is not disfunctional, I don't have any other ideas.
