I appologize. I searched this and couldn't find if it was discussed before. I recently picked up a used RC5200i and created/uploaded a ccf to the remote. On the left side of the screen, there is a vertical band about 1/16th inch from the top to the bottom of the remote. It has no images within this band. Also, when I try to do a calabration, the top left arrow doesn't show up. When I try to calabrate it, it fails.

Is this a known issue? What can I do to get a full screen? The odd thing is, when I received this remote, it had a ccf already on it and I didn't notice this band. So, was it put on there when I attempted to load my ccf. I did attempt to upgrade it, but it was already at the latest version.

Any ideas?

Maybe the unit had the screen replaced with a Philip Nino screen?

Would that do it? Is this a known issue when replacing the screen?

Did you pick up an RC5200 or an RC5000i? Subject says 5000i, post says 5200i.

The RC5200 is the one with 4-way cursor pad. I believe they both use the same screen but cannot be 100% sure.

FYI, I sent you offline RC mail.

Did you also try adjusting the contrast wheel on the unit?

Sorry. It's a 5000i. It's not the contrast. It's like a band where no LCD info shows.

There is a 2mm border around the remote, but all the buttons are within it.

Do you have a problem or are you simply making a statement? I'm lost here.
