I have DirecTV & Samsung SIR-TS360 HD receiver which I just received due to my old HD receiver (RAC DTC-100) going south. Of course under DirecTV's service program you do not have a choice as to the HD receiver they send as a replacement.

Looked but been unable to locate answers to the following:

1. Are there discrete On/Off codes for it? Hate components that do not have this!

2. CCF's that use it? Found some component files only but no full CCF files, etc.

Am using with a Pronto PRO TSU-6000

Any tips, hints or tricks anyone can share regarding this HD receiver?

Thanks!

I don't think there are. Why would you turn off your satellite receiver? It happens that it is always on anyway. I have even seen a satellite receiver that, when turned "off," still had video and Channel 3 output, but that output turned from images into black. That's right, sync pulses, video, and just the color black. That is NOT what we call OFF !

If you turn it off, then you have to turn it on again. If you leave it on, you never have to mess with the power. It will even come back on by itself after a power outage.

How is a component file not a ccf file? If your email address is in your profile, look for mail from me. If it isn't, well, why isn't it? I might not come back here ever again, so you blew your one chance....

Yeah, don't bother to turn off the power. Don't tell anyone it will do biorhythms; if they pull a hamstring laughing, they might sue you. If you got a white remote, there is at least one function the unit will do that is not on that remote, and I can't remember it right now, but it is in the ccf that I am sending you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The Samsung SIR-TS360 has discrete power codes, if you need them do a search in the discrete hunter section, I beleive they are in there. If not email me and I will send them to you, or:

Power on:
0000 006D 0000 0022 00B1 00B1 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0042 0016 0042 0016 0016 0016 073F
