Hi!
I have been trying to connect to my RC5200 remote with Tonto with no luck.
I have a Aten USB converter and it works fine when i use Virtual PC and Touch screen setup but there is no response in Tonto. I didnŽt know there was an app for Mac so I though I try it out, but so far with no luck.

Thankful for any tip.
With regards
Marcus From Ostersund Sweden

I`ve read that but it didnt help me.
Now i`ve got connection but it always fails.
I can only try one time then I have to reboot my machine. IŽve tryed both upload and download but the result is the same. A strange behavior for a Mac computer.
Any ideas anyone?

Other than the obvious "Buy a Wintel PC" ? Nope. Sorry, I have no more suggestions.

Why buy a PC when I can run both PC and Mac on my Power Mac.

There is no big problem. I can always use the virtual PC machine an run it from there but i thugh it would be fun to try out the Mac version. It must be some settings on the Mac software tht causes the problem. IŽll figure it out eventully.
Thanks anyway for your time.

The crash is very strange indeed. Have you reinstalled the driver since you went to 10.4.x., might be worth a shot. I've been using Keyspan adapters with Tonto since it first released and for my X-10 controller without any problems on my desktop and portable.

I have just formatted my machine and the USB adapter was the last thing i installed. The thing is that it works every single time in virtual PC. I`ve tryed it with some old digital cameras and it works like a sharme. I have been playing around with Tonto tonight and i realized that i get some downloads and uploads to work but if one fails i can reboot the remote and then try again. It uselly works. Then i found the Pronto transfer program. It works perfectly every time so it must be something with the Tonto software.
I am a little bit closer to figure it out. I will solve i eventully.

FYI, You won't be able to use that Mac with an NG remote. So, if you wanna move up, be prepared to buy a Wintel PC.
