I'm not sure if the problems with the unit or the operator but I'm not having much luck.

Got my new toy all charged up, hit the learn key but only get 'fails'. I'm in OZ & tried a few different buttons on 5 different remotes. I saw a thread on neon lights affecting the IR signal but have tried in several different lighting conditions.

Remotes on a level surface ranging from 10-20cm away. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

are you pointing your remotes at the pronto's learning eye on the back of the unit?
