Hi, I'm a little lost here and plenty of reading of the forums has left me even more confused :-)
I have been trying to learn some codes for an Aquavision TV for use in my Xantech MRC88 but without luck. I can actually import pronto codes directly into the MRC88 software (Copy and paste) but I've got varying info. I have this info from the manufacturer for the codes I need:
and this is the format of the learned code (Power used as an example) using the ccf downloaded from this site:
0000 006c 0000 000c 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0cc0
Using these two pieces of info is it possible to construct the codes for Video, S-vid, Scart and PC?
I have learned the codes using the remote into a pronto and also learned them (again using the remote) directly into the MRC88 but they dont work even when learned. I'm hoping that by creating the codes manually from the info it might work.....?
Hope that all makes sense.

The power command you posted in Pronto Hex is the standard power command for TVs using the RC5 protocol.
Prontos have a condensed form for RC5 that looks like
5000 0000 0000 0001 00wx 00yz
Where you replace the wx with the "system number" (which is 0 for your TV and all similar TVs) and replace yz with the two digit hex code of the command (0C for power, etc.).
The condensed form gets something called the "toggle bit" inside the protocol correct, where the regualr Pronto Hex can't.
But I don't know whether your Xantech would understand the condensed form. If not, you can use the MakeHex program with the RC5.irp file to generate all your commands in ordinary Pronto Hex.

Many many thanks, I was able to paste the RC5 codes directly into the MRC88 software and it worked first time.
I'll make time to make a ccf for the aquavision codes in RC5 format and upload them, hopefully that might help others in the future.
