I have an RC5200 which appears to work ok, but will not respond to screen touches at all.
The screen does illuminate, I have also successfully downloaded the CCF and firmware, and the buttons appear to be working. The unit reboots ok, beeps twice but then stubbornly refuses to respond to any commands on screen.

The unit may well have been dropped as its used by my kids who tend to abuse it.
I am suspecting the ribbon cable may well have become dislodged and wanted to have a look inside but am not confident about taking the unit apart and wondered if any of you had performed any surgery on one of these?

I have checked joeyp.com but that repair was for the classic device.

Thanks for any help you can give.

You might try reflashing the firmware as a first step, sometimes that solves strange behavior. If that's a no-go, I'd check the cable first, since a screen install requires disassembly anyway. Although the Joey6p site is for a 1000, the differences are slight, and it's still a good guide.

Many thanks for the reply. I did try a firmware reflash which was accepted fine, but still no go with the screen. Will have a go at taking it apart.

Thanks -E

Search for +replace +9200 +screen by me for the last year. There are instructions there for the 9200/5200 take-apart.
