I have recently downloaded lists of bmp images to put on my TSU 6000. This has worked very well.
However, when I tried downloading CCF files, I just cannot get them to open.

I am still very new to this device and software (I am running Pronto Edit 4) and wondered if there was either more/different software I need to use?

Everytime I have downloaded a piece of CCF software I have tried opening in loads of different formats, bit I'm getting nowhere.

Could someone explain in good detail what I need to be doing?

Thanks guys,

Steve

Are they zipped (.zip format)? If so, you'll need to unzip (decompress) them. There are many programs you can use to do this, some free, some not. This program, http://www.7-zip.org/, will work fine. Just open the program, find the file, and then extract to whatever directory you wish. It'll then be in .ccf format and can be opened using Pronto Edit 4.

Sorry in advance if you already understood this and it's not your problem, it's just a relatively common question on the forum.

Well, Winzip should have worked. When you tried 7-zip (or Winzip) did you "extract" the zipped file? Once it was extracted, there should be a .ccf file in whatever directory you extracted TO. This .ccf file should be able to be opened from within Pronto Edit. I.e. find this file (from within ProntoEdit) and open it.

If this doesn't help, we'll need a "DETAILED" description of the steps you took and what happened.

How are you trying to open the file. Are you just clicking on it in File Explorer.

Try opening Pronto Edit then open the file you want. Select your type of remote and you should have no problems.
