Hello I am new here so please bare with me. i recently bought a used tsu6000 from tweeter for 100 bucks(they were going out of business 60-90% off ) It doesn't have the battery but, I already ordered one. My next problem is i put in on the docking station plugged in the ac adapter and the screen comes up on tv but, the touch screen doesn't work??Meaning I press something on the the touch screen and nothing. The volume buttons and the channels buttons work because the remote icon is moving. Is it broke or will it not work with out the battery or could it be locked?? Somebody please help.

thanks in advance for any help.

I would wait until you receive the battery. But it does sound like that the touch screen is broken. However, like I said wait.

What Tweeter went out of business? I know that the whole corp is on a down fall. I mean Tweeter was known for having a "wonderful" product line up. Until the last few years. I mean dipping into Bose, and now Go Video???????? Next they would be buying some old style vinal where you have to turn a handle to make the turn table spin.

Its a local tweeter in springfield PA. Yeah They told me if it was broken to bring it to any tweeter and they will fix it for free. So I will wait until I get the battery and thenif it doesn't work take it to a tweeter and either get a new one or fix this one. Still for 100 bucks you can't go wrong.

I also bought a used tsu2000 for 25 bucks with the stand.

Could it be as simple as you just haven't programed it yet. The buttons on the touchscreen may not have any codes, just a delay.

Did the same thing, picked up two from Sound Advice (said tweeter on the invoice) with no batteries or cradles. One was dead with LCD problems, but if you call tech support at phillips, give them your serial, they will tell you your warranty is expired. Tell them you just bought it (you will be transferred to "Entitlements" ask for Kelly if possible, she is very helpful), you will need to fax them a copy of your receipt, they will renew te warranty for one year. Then call them up, tell them it is busted, walk through all the steps in their manual, eventually, if they can't get it to work, they will offer a replacement. Just keep hammering at Customer Service until you get it fixed. I just sent back the one with the busted backlight on the LCD for replacement, no charge. Since you just purchased, they told me as long as I could prove it (the receipt fax they requested) it would be covered.

The second one required Tonto and "Undeading" and I did a firmware update. Don't know what I did, or if i did it in the right way, but it fired right up after that. Prior to that the screen was stuck on the "ProntoPro" and never went to "Please Wait..." and load the .ccf.

The absolute hardest part so far is getting the cradles. So far, I have been unsuccessful in picking one up for less thant the 75 bucks philips wants.

Again, all of this is you mileage may vary, but I have full warrantee's on both of them I bought, after speaking with the CSR, but you have to be tranferred to the "Entitlements" department and work from there. It is well worth it, I bought the two remotes for a hundred bucks.

You can get serial cables off ebay (made my own), or I am sure someone around here sells them. If Remotecentral has a link, use it so they get some cash (if that is how it works) because this site is a godsend!

Good luck, and call phillips in the morning, check their website, Jake

You can also buy a Kodak DC210 camera cable locally [Link: remotecentral.com].
