I just bought a Marantz RC5000i. I got all my remotes programed like I want, but the problem I am having is that each time I hit a device button it automatically changes the input on my Marantz SR19 receiver even though I don't want it to. The only solution I have so far is to cover the front of the remote when I hit the device button so it does not send the signal to the receiver. Any help to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated. Please be specific on your instructions, as I am still learning this remote. Thank you so much.

The next easiest way, besides what you are doing. Is to press and hold one of the lower hard buttons that says "NO IR" when you bring up (or down) the device menu.

Other than that. You would have to go into TSS, which you can down load from this web site. And delete the action in each of the device menus.

Or you can delete the command on the remote itself. I know what the procedure is for at Pronto, but for Marantz, it should be the same. But I do not know how to get to the set up menu if it's different from the Prontos.

I guess I should have read the above post more closely. Basically, what I'm suggesting you do and the post above are the same thing. I just tried to explain how it works in the remote and what NoIR means.

In TouchScreenSetup, please navigate to the properties for the 'Device' in question and view the Actionlist for the device. From there, ensure that you delete the entry that sets the input. For future reference, each time you select either a Device or ActionList through the menu, the ActionList for the item selected is executed (Dev or MG). The NOIR choice mentioned above bypassess the processing of this ActionList.

Your suggestion for using the "no ir" hard key worked just fine. Thanks for the help. Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem permanently? If so, again please be very specific as I am still learning this remote. Again, thanks to all for the help on this matter.

Easiest way is to install the PC software. Start the software and hookup the remote to the computer. "Upload" your ccf (program on your remote) to the computer, find and open "device properties" for each of the problem gear, and then under the "action list" tab, delete the command that switches the input. Then "download" the ccf back to the remote.
