opened up my pronto to check for loose wires and such.
found 2 of the 3 screws on the back almost impossible to remove without stripping.
pulled off the case and was about to remove the screws that hold the next board on...there are a possible 4...mine had only 2! The bottom 2!
the light switch is toward the top, and upon inspection, it appears that the switch has shifted, I am going to put it all back to gether to see if the switch works now...if so I guess the missing screws was the culprit...what kind of company sells their products with missing (2 of 4) screws.

well the backilght switch seems to be the problem...it has rotated 20 degrees, and though my eyes aren't good enough to see the connections, I suspect that at least one of them is toast.

Am I looking for a replacement switch, or simply a good re-solder job?

Thanks again
Scott
