Hi,

I am trying to use Lyndel's CD Supercharger to program in the disk names into my CD changer, a sony CDP-CX355, 300 disk.

I understand that this program has not been updated for a while but would like to know if it is possible.

I've tried simply having one short disk name, CMD set 1, creating the update file on my TSU7000. When run the display on the sony changes from Time to **DISC 1** but nothing else happens.

I've tried the various options for changers, is the control format of the CX355 the same as the older models? Maybe I'm missing something or in the wrong mode.

SNL is a brilliant program by the way, has really enriched this community.

Regards,

Thanks for the kind words Bob. You should also thank Leo Davidson as well. See his site at www.pretentiousname.com. Olivier Couvreur also deserves some thanks and love as without CCFTools, SNL would NOT be possible. See his site @ ccftools@free.fr.

From what I know, neither the 355 nor the 455 support the IR codestream required to send disc or artist text. For this reason, I have not updated the program since its first release. Additionally, I no longer use Sony Jukeboxes as I've moved everything from my CD players to an MP3 media server. I've been very very happy with this approach as I have basically zero time delay loading a disc.

I think the reason behind this lack of support by Sony is that these players support a folder construct for MP3 discs.
