Can somebody help me with my problem. For some reason the Mode Menu button in the Setup Screen of my TS6000 disappeared. Reloaded firmware but no success. Help?

In the System Properties under ProntoEdit, you have the box 'Configuration is Write Protected' checked. See the FAQ for more information about this setting re locking your config.

I have the same problem but I don't have the serial cable yet. Is there any way to reset the 6000 without the cable?

See Anthony's post, once in setup, activate the mode menu. Look here: [Link: remotecentral.com] As the FAQ states if it's unavailable you'll need the software. This message was edited by bomberjim on 07/01/05 00:44 ET.
