Does ProntoEdit for the TSU1000 do Win XP? I am considering up grading my computer from 98SE to XP Pro. My serial port is configured and working now. Should I do this or will I be in "Upgrade Hell"?

First, you should be Using PE 4.05.

Second, PE4.05 works just fine on Windows XP

Third, Will your 98SE computer run XP Pro all right?

Forth, If you decide to upgrade the PC, a lot of new PC's dont come with a standard 9 Pin serial port anymore. you need to get a USB to Serial adapter for these PC's

Fifth, If you do end up with a new PC, get the Keyspan USB to Serial adapter. It costs 10-15 dollars more that some of the others out there, but it WORKS with Prontos.

Good Luck

As long as you are connected to COM1 no problems in fact device not responding error when dowloading appears to be greatly improved.
