I am taking a vacation in the new year, where can I buy the Pronto around the Orlando area.
Phillips deem that us poor Brits aren't worthy of such interesting devices.

You could always get Jack Schultz to ship one to where you are staying :)

Richard, As Tim has stated, if you unable to locate a dealer in the Orlando area, we can accomodate. As far as felling "unworthy", suffice it to say that you can expect to see Pronto becoming available on your side of the pond once Philips can fill the pipeline on this side, which I would expect not to happen until sometime 3rd or 4th quarter 1999. They launched the product in the largest market (of course) and will need to ramp up production to meet demand prior to committing elsewhere.

Jack,
What are your prices (Pronto, plus rechageable cradle)? I have noticed several prices tossed around, the lowest being $299, though you seem to be a key supporter and excellent "customer service" company. Have you shipped to Canada - any idea on length of time to receive?
Thanks, Shawn

Richard Kennett, use Jack Schultz's Metronet. They were helpful, effiecent and helpful. I managed to import a Pronto and docking station! Thanks Jack, now about the software and cable...

Shawn: I had my Pronto shipped to Canada from Jack with no problem whatsoever. No duty taxes, but had to pay GST. UPS shipping costs an additional $35.00 USD (Air Expedited - its worth it since you don't pay an additional brokerage fee - check out the other threads for a detailed explanation)- three business day delivery. You can also track your package via UPS traking web site. As for the lower prices elsewhere, I really can't comment - although I continued to be heartened by Jack's contribution to this site and feel confident about his committment to customer support.

Shawn, Prices are $399 for Pronto, $79 for dock. Arrival to Canada is based upon delivery service level used. We have seen them arrive in 3 days end to end. We can use UPS, Postal, or FedEx. They are all here in our building everyday. We also have a post office down the hall in our building. We are in Chicago so therefore centrally located.
