Just wanted to update my previous comments about my tin-foil fix: It has been 17 months now, and my repaired buttons on my three MX-850s are still working ;) . . . I haven't had any issues. Even if they stopped working tomorrow, 17 months is pretty good. The remotes all get everyday use, and not just by me, but also by my wife and son. It's not like they are getting handled with kid gloves.

Hopefully, they will continue to last!
