Hi,

I want to buy a new remote and Iīm thinking about a Xsight Touch
I have an older type of One For All remote now.

I have a question about some function of the Xsight Touch. I canīt find it anywhere else.

But is it possible to put function on buttons next to the touch display?
For example a function that doesnīt have a button?

I hope some one is able to help me out.

Exactly what do you mean by the "buttons next to the touch display"?

Otherwise, check out the review on this site... particularly page 11: [Link: remotecentral.com]

i think my answer was in te review.

but what I mean is when there is a button on the original remote for a very unusual function is it possible to put in on the screen and create a label for it so itīs clear what function it is? I mean function that are different then those on the existing buttons on the xsight touch.

Yes, you can put any function on any button and label it accordingly, whether it's on the LCD or an actual button. That's the whole point of having an LCD display.

well i take it you canīt change the label of an actual button...
but most functions will do with the actual buttons but there are always a few left.
I have an older One For All remote and this one has the buttons A, B, C, D
but you have to remember what you put under it. If you can label it on the display itīs much better.

I've actually done that on some of my old JP1 remotes. Never underestimate the power of a label maker  :-)

Coming from JP1 you'll like being able to put extra functions on the LCD, but you'll find the software is clunky and the programming isn't as flexible over all. But for $50 it's a very nice remote. It's my main remote at the moment, and the family really loves the fact that every button does what it says.

Not much Xsightment in this thread, so I thought I'd post a tip. The harmony 900 icons at http://www.iconharmony.com work pretty well on Xsight remotes. If anyone knows the optimum size, please post.
