It looks like the 4063 is a very old remote design, whcih does not have setup codes for amps/receiver/tuners. It does have support for CDs.
Lots of remotes have basic support for Onkyo equipment.

you're absolutely right- this remote is older than dirt. i ran across it while doing some housecleaning an just thought i could use it. universal remotes r not that expensive- i'm thinking if i got a new one, it might have the code that would control the onkyo receiver.

Well, spend $15-$20, and get the RCA RCRP05B. Use Setup code Audio 1298.
