I feel a bit bad asking this question as I'm sure the information must either be in the manual or online but I've searched and come up with nothing.

I want to use the remote to code it's power button to always control the tv (just like the manual suggests to do for the volume buttons, using code 993). Is there a 3 digit code to do this, or do I have to use the "watch tv" tv+stb thing instead?

So you really want to never be able to control the power on any other device? That doesn't make any sense to me. But if that's what you want, you need to put a macro on the power button with the steps "TV, Power". Then TV power will be sent in all modes. You could also keymove TV power into all modes. This remote works differently than most one-for-alls, so I'm not sure what the macro/keymove programming possibilities or procedures are.

Well 'watch tv' will probably have to handle it, I just wanted to have a bit more control over the remote.

Just to satisfy your curiousty, and I think I owe you that as you replied even if you couldnt answer:
As much as I dont like it, the tivo box I have doesnt seem to shut down, there is no useful poweroff button for this beast. Apparently you're meant to keep it running all the time.
My blueray player is sony, as is my tv, and it automatically shuts down when my tv is turned off. I turn it on by pressing the eject button to put a dvd inside, I dont use the remove for that.

If you didn't understand the response, post your TV model and the setup code you're using for the TV. We'll be able to give you more concrete answers with that info.

According to the MANUAL for it's American cousin the OARI06G, to program the macro in my earlier post, hold setup for 2 blinks, 995, Power, use device select to highlight TV, Power, hold setup for 2 blinks. Don't know if it's possible to program advanced codes on this remote or not. If it is, it's not documented. So far the only difference between programming this and other one-for-all's is the need to press device select multiple times for the desired device mode. Some remotes won't let you change the power button macro, so you'll just have to try it. 

But looking at the manual, there is a much simpler solution for your problem. Just follow the steps in "Excluding a device from Master Power" to remove your tivo and blu-ray. Then you can use a long press of power to toggle power to your tv in all modes and still control power for your other devices using a short press of power.
