I am looking for a couple of Onkyo advanced codes. One is a nice to have and the other is pretty important. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time scouring this forum and have managed to get pretty much every code I need for my Onkyo DR-S2.0 receiver. I am looking for the code for the "Distance" button which will allow me to set the speaker distances on the receiver. The other one is the "Acoustic Control" button. The distance one is key since it can't be done from the receiver. I don't have the original remote. Any help would be appreciated. I have played around with codes 0135, 0842 and 1298 and found most of what I need. I have a URC-8820 if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

I don't have any direct experience with that exact Onkyo model number, but for "Distance" you might try advanced function 242 in receiver setup code 0842.

Glad that worked! Unfortunately, I don't have any "official" list of 842 codes, the "Distance" was just one that I had come across previously.

I do know however that some Onkyo equiment uses a combination of device codes (technically, they use an NEC format IR protocol with two different system addresses), so as you have probably already found out, your unit may also respond to some of the commands in One-for-All setup code 0135. If this is true, I would try the advanced codes listed for that code at Rob's web site (www.hifi-remote.com) if you haven't already.

do you know where I could get a list of other codes. I would like to be able to control the volume and turn my Onkyo DR-S2.0 receiver off and on. I entered the 0842 code and that shut my unit down but I pushed power again and could not get it to power back up. I am attempting to use the universal remote that came with my Comcast cable box but i do have Toshiba CT-855 universal remote that came with my TV if the Comcast remote won't work.

Start with post 42 in this AVS thread.  If you have a grey OK/Select button, use the 4 digit setup codes, 5 digit if red.
