I have a clearmaster 9000+ cable box, and I have an old All For One Big Easy remote, that works, and the buttons are getting old and difficult to push. So I decided to buy a new remote, the one for all 6131. The odd thing is that I cannot get this remote programed to my cable box. Does anyone know how I can get this remote to work?
Thanks.

What code did you use on the BigEasy remote?

I didn't use a code. I pushed the cbl button, then set, then cbl and power until it turned off the cable box. It doesn't work this time.

Hi,

The code you need is Cable code 0883. It is not on the 6131 remote so you will need to get it upgraded from OFA customer service.

There should be instructions on the paper that came with it. If you threw that away (who doesn't) you should be able to find info on their website. Or call them.

To upgrade the 6131, you call the phone # in the manual, get a TAG #, then ship it to OH. You only pay for shipping there, turnaround time is about a week. You won't get the same remote back that you sent.
