I am trying to set up a non-learning remote. I have a learning remote which has learned some advanced codes. Is there a way to decode advanced or "learned" codes for a particular button? Do I HAVE to have a JP1?

No, no way to blink back an advanced code. What device, setup code, and command are you using and are after?

Apex TV using Toshiba code 0156... I am trying to duplicate the 'previous channel' command from the original remote onto a universal remote (URC-403...something... the model number worn off). The one built into the 0156 code does something different when I press the 'previous channel' button on the universal (displays CC status). I'm simply trying to get my OFA remote to go to previous channel on my Apex TV. Same code on the same remote works properly on my Toshiba TV.

I just looked at the first Apex TV in the JP1 group's upgrade collection.

The two EFC numbers Edmund gave match and Sleep is 056

But in the next upgrade file matching the first two commands, 056 is "dvd" and there is no "sleep".

Another roughly matching file has 054 as "Sleep Timer". Is that what you're looking for?
