Curious about what this port might do, I emailed OneforAll and asked. Here's what I received as a reply from them today:

Go to the bottom of the page and you will find info about those ports in the battery compartment.

The battery compartment port mentioned in the Wasser page is the 3-pin one found on older One for All remotes.

The 6-pin connector on newer OFA remotes is not a serial port, it connects directly to the on-board memory for factory programming using a special (non-PC) test system. Connecting a serial cable to it will, at best, not work; at worst, will smoke the remote.
