I just acquired a new cable box that I was told uses cable code 0770. I was also told that the Cinema 7 remote was the only remote available that would program this code. In looking at the cable code list one of the boxes does use code 0770, but when I try to code in 0770 the cinema 7 doesn't acknowledge the code with two flashing pulses from the LED. Has any one else experience this problem, and is 0770 not a valid code after all.

OFA has a list of all cinema 7 codes at their website: [Link: oneforall.com]

According to that, Cable/0770 is 'Prelude', so it should work. The only thing I can think of is, did some other function get assigned to the cable key? try this (see [Link: oneforall.com]) and then try again:

PRESS the device,(TV,VCR,CABLE,etc.), button - RELEASE
PRESS and HOLD the MAGIC button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
PRESS 9 - 9 - 2
PRESS the device button twice. - Two blinks.

The code list at the One for All web site is for the older, non-learning, Cinema 7 model URC-7200.

So there is a possibility that the learning C7 model URC-7800 may not have that 0770 cable box code in it any more.
