I have read a bunch of posts about the lack of discrete codes for many cable boxes. The common response I see is that people leave their cable boxes on all the time.
Doesn't this stop your box from updating its info? When I leave mine on (SA explorer 3100) none of the info is downloaded to the box.
Also, What do you guys do about the delay when turning on a big screen tv? My "watch tv" macro turns on the tv and cable and switches the tv to cable input. It waits 6 seconds and then switches the input to cable again. The first input changes it very quickly for when the tv is already on. The second input changes after a pause to make sure the tv is on. The annoying thing is that when I run this macro, I have to wait 6 seconds for the macro to complete. I have it set to jump to the cable controls when it finishes.. Could I do the jump earlier in the macro? Will it let me execute more commands while its delaying?
Thanks guys,
-Jeff
